A row of cottages in Bures are set to be demolished despite reservations from councillors.
Cottages and packing sheds in Eves Orchard could be knocked down if an application to remove the buildings is approved.
Babergh District Council’s development committee will meet on Wednesday to discuss the proposals, which have been recommended for approval.
However, Bures Parish Council has objected, saying the buildings are part of the village’s history.
The council also claims that applicant Charles Church has not proven that the demolition is necessary, while a nearby footpath would be destroyed if the work was carried out.
