Residents in Leavenheath have clubbed together to buy a stained-glass window for the village church.
Donations in memory of those buried at St Matthew’s Church in Nayland Road were made by family members. Doreen Atkins said the window had cost £4,000 and the project had taken a year to complete.
“Lots of hard work has gone into this and people have very kindly donated,” said Mrs Atkins, who lives in the village. “We are all delighted with the window.”
A dedication to the window will take place at the church on Sunday at 9.30am.
