Delight as Sudbury nursery receives glowing Ofsted report for third year in a row
Staff at a nursery in Sudbury are in high spirits after receiving a glowing report from Ofsted.
Anglia Sunshine Nurseries has been rated as outstanding for the third year in a row following a recent inspection.
Commending staff at the nursery in Warner Way, the report highlighted the “deep understanding they have of the children’s needs and the close relationships they build with the families”.
The team was praised for being “excellent role models”, while “helping the children to develop a strong sense of right and wrong” alongside teaching them the importance of respect.
The report noted that the nursery’s youngest children had demonstrated “extremely high levels of curiosity and perseverance” while older children were keen to explore a range of activities.
With a rating of outstanding across all areas inspected, including the quality of education, leadership, behaviour and attitudes, the team was praised for encouraging the older children to develop their language skills and imagination.
EyLog, an online observation system, is regularly used at the nursery, which enables parents to keep abreast of their child’s learning.
Praising the leadership skills of nursery manager Felicity Rose, the report highlighted that she had demonstrated a high level of commitment, while maintaining staff motivation and wellbeing.
The report noted the collective efforts of the whole team in adapting activities aimed at encouraging all children to take part.
Reflecting on the achievement, Mrs Rose said: “I am thrilled and believe that outstanding reflects the determination and commitment of all of us at Anglia Sunshine and our belief in giving every child the best start in life.”
Praising the whole team, nursery owner Jacqui Stoneman added: “I am so proud of them and the positive influence they have on the next generation.”
