THE construction of 22 houses on the site of a former fuel depot in Sudbury are expected to be given the go-ahead.

Members of Babergh District Council’s development committee will be discussing the plans for the former Ballingdon Oils depot in Middleton Road next week, with councillors recommended to grant planning permission.

A decision on the application, which if supported will see a residential development built on the site, was due to be made in February, but was postponed to enable councillors to seek legal advice on density, ecology and land stability issues.

The plans are due to be heard on Wednesday.
