Cyclist dies

A CYCLIST who collapsed and died while out on a Sunday morning bike ride is believed to have suffered a heart attack.

Emergency services were called to the A134 at Newton, near Sudbury, shortly before 10am yesterday after reports that a man had fallen from his bike.

Paramedics attempted to treat the man, who is thought to be from Newton and 58-years-old, but he died at the scene.

A spokesman for the East Of England Ambulance Service said it was thought the man suffered a cardiac arrest.
