A group of Cub Scouts from Acton and Waldingfield got stuck in with a morning of hands-on woodland management work on Sunday.

With help from land ranger Adrian Walters, the 1st Cub Scout group chopped up recently-felled willow branches and used them to create habitat piles on the water meadows.

They also put up their handmade insect boxes in the Brundon Mill habitation and planted shrubs donated by the Woodland Trust.
