Sudbury social club ruling

A TROUBLED Sudbury social club will find out whether it will be granted a new club premises certificate on Monday.

Northcroft Social Club, in The Croft, has applied for a new license after it was withdrawn by Babergh District Council’s licensing sub-committee in May, after a public music night which was advertised online.

Officers visited the club, which has around 200 members, in April to find non-members buying drinks and no policing of entry, having previously spoken to the club about other breaches of its licence.

Council officers have been assisting the club with the application process over the last three months.
