Man denies raid on store

A man is to stand trial after appearing in court to deny burglary and motoring offences in Sudbury.

Jonathan Jolly, 36, is accused of burglary at the town’s Waitrose store on March 17.

It is alleged that iPods and digital radios valued at more than £2,500 were stolen.

Jolly also faces an allegation of dangerous driving and driving while disqualified in Sudbury on November 19 last year.

He pleaded not guilty to all the offences when he appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday.

Judge John Holt told Jolly that he would stand trial for the burglary offence on August 30, while his trial for the motoring offences would take place on September 19.

Jolly, of Dunsey Wood Close, Haverhill, was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
