Two prisoners are thought to have escaped from Hollesley Bay Prison, prompting police to appeal for help.
Paul Devereux, 42, and Jonathan Ewing, 44, were reported to have absconded at 8.40am on Monday.
Devereux, serving a life sentence for robbery with an imitation firearm, is white, around 5ft 9in tall, of stocky build, with short brown hair, brown eyes and several tattoos, including a snake/dagger design on his forearm. He has connections to the Sudbury area.
Ewing, who has connections to Colchester, was serving a sentence for wounding/GBH with intent, is white, 5ft 11in tall, of slight build, with balding brown hair and blue eyes, with a number of tattoos and facial piercings.
The public are being warned not to approach them. Anyone who may have seen them or has information about where they are now should call their closest police station on 101.
