Group set upon girl

POLICE are appealing for information after a 10-year-old girl was assaulted in Sudbury.

The girl was walking along a footpath in Acton Lane when she was approached by a group of men and women. One of the men pushed her over, while one of the women goaded her.

When the girl tried to get up, her attacker pushed her down again. She was eventually able to get up and run away, but suffered an injury to her arm.

The man is described as white, between 18 and 21 years old, of medium, muscular build, around 5ft 8in tall with short black spiky hair, freckles and an eyebrow piercing.

He was wearing a blue top with a collar, blue jeans, a black belt and dark coloured shoes.
