Car thefts continue

POLICE are appealing for information after five catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles in Sudbury over the weekend.

In one incident, two men – one wearing a grey hooded top – took converters from three vans parked outside Roys supermarket in Station Road.

The theft took place between 10pm on Sunday and 5am the next day.

Elsewhere, a converter was stolen from a black Mercedes Sprinter van in Curzon Road between 5.30pm on Friday and 11am on Monday, after thieves broke into a compound by cutting through a fence.

During the same period, a converter was also taken from a white Ford Ranger in Queens Road.

Police are linking the thefts and want anyone with information to contact Sudbury Police on 01284 774100.

l ANOTHER converter was stolen from a silver Ford Ranger parked on a driveway on the Harpers Estate in Nayland between 7.15pm last Tuesday and 8.45am the following day.
