A BILDESTON man has been made to pay compensation after damaging a car.

Myles Stainton-Fitzgerald, 22, from Smock Meadow, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to a blue Toyota Aygo at Bury St Edmunds magistrates court on Thursday.

The court heard that Mr Stainton-Fitzgerald had kicked the car, belonging to Sarah Miles, in Newberry Road, after going to speak to her neighbour who was not in.

He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation to Miss Miles, as well as £20 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
