Crews tackle Sudbury chimney fire for more than an hour

Fire crews were called to battle a chimney blaze at a building in Sudbury on Wednesday night.

It happened at a property in Cross Street at about 8.11pm.

Two crews from the town, as well as an appliance from Long Melford, attended the scene.

Firefighters used chimney gear and rods to extinguish the blaze, which was under control by 9.12pm.
