Cornard homes set for go-ahead

A DEVELOPMENT of more than 20 new homes in Great Cornard is expected to be given the green light.

Plans to build 22 houses, including eight affordable homes, on land near Bures Road will be heard by Babergh District Council’s development committee on Wednesday.

Flats and two to four bedroom properties are proposed for the site by applicant Persimmon Homes Anglia Ltd.

The firm are expected to see the plans granted permission provided a Section 106 Agreement - money paid by a developer to offset the impact of development - including a £150,000 contribution to education provision, is secured.
