Hundreds of children across Babergh are invited to participate in a unique interactive introduction to orchestral music in Great Cornard.

Joining the City of London Sinfonia and presenter Claire Henry, a run of concerts have been specially devised for children between two and seven-years-old during October half-term.

With the theme of Claire’s Musical Party, there will be lots of audience participation and children will have the opportunity to trial some of the orchestral instruments.

The City of London Sinfonia will perform 10 concerts in Suffolk, including at The Stevenson Centre, Great Cornard.

Prior to the concerts, a series of workshops will be held at nursery and school settings.

Stuart Bruce, Orchestras Live Partnership manager, said: “With the help of our partners in Suffolk, we have delivered educational, fun and inspirational events that will leave a musical imprint on the young minds of Suffolk.”

There are two concerts in Great Cornard, at 10.30am and 2pm on October 26. Tickets are available from Sudbury Tourist Information.
