A charity is hosting a celebratory event to mark 25 years of service to the community.

The Christopher Centre, which provides a range of meeting rooms for voluntary groups and charities, is hosting a buffet lunch for its members, supporters and invited guests at its HQ in Gainsborough Street on Friday, March 8.

To coincide with the milestone, the charity is showcasing the refurbishment of its new facilities – funded thanks to a £33,000 grant.

Manager Teresa Bishop expressed her gratitude to the charity that gifted the money.

“We are so grateful to The Garfield Weston Foundation for making the refurbishment possible, not only for ourselves, but for the many other community groups and charities that use the centre.

“The Christopher Centre isn’t just a building, it is a charity that provides so much for Sudbury and our surrounding villages.”
