Youngsters at Hadleigh Community Primary School are not usually this unhappy – but they will soon be beaming if residents take up a call for help.
Their school in Station Road has been shortlisted for a national community fund and they have a chance to win a £3,000 grant for new playground equipment.
It relies on the public voting for them and teacher Leah Bewsher said she is hoping Hadleigh residents will get behind the school.
“Playtimes offer children time to relax, play with their friends and run off excess energy preparing them for their lessons,” she said.
“With this grant, we would like to improve our facilities by adding more play and sports equipment to enhance what we are already able to offer.”

The Lloyds Bank Community Fund gives grants to projects and groups in more than 1,300 communities across England and Wales.
