Sudbury Municipal Charities is inviting men over 70 from Sudbury to apply for winter clothing gift vouchers, as part of a tradition that stretches back more than 350 years.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a short ceremony at the Town Hall on Christmas Day to receive their voucher and enjoy a glass of sherry and a mince pie.

Applicants should apply in writing by November 28, to Sudbury Municipal Charities, Longstop Cottage, The Street, Lawshall. Bury St Edmunds, IP29 4QA; stating their name, address and age.
