A group of women from Age UK Suffolk’s Chilton Day Service dug out their tutus and took to the streets on Good Friday to take part in this year’s Sudbury Fun Run.

Among the 500 runners tackling the five-mile course was Jilly Vince, Chilton Day service manager, along with Linda Howard, Linda Ackers, Chelsea Howell, Ellena Dodds, Lesley Brand and Anne Howard.

Jilly said the group raised money to get their fence repaired, so members could enjoy the summer outside.

“We took part last year and we all had such a good time, we thought why not do it again,” she said.

“Our members love it too, they know how much we value them. Our staff members giving up their bank holidays to raise money just shows how much they care.”

At Chilton Day Centre, staff aim to raise people’s spirits and show how to live well with dementia.
