The search is on to find Alex a new home.
She has been living in Sudbury with a foster carer since August after being rescued by the Bury St Edmunds branch of Cats Protection.
Found weak and hungry on a door step, Alex has recovered well but desperately needs a new home.
Rebecca George, from Cats Protection, said: “Despite what she’s been through, she’s a loving, sweet cat and will make a wonderful companion.
“She’s on some pain relief but we are happy to pay for that because we don’t want it to stand in the way of her finding a new home as she really deserves it.”
