Busted are fixed for races
It’s a reunion that has been 11 years in the making — Busted will be performing at Newmarket Nights this summer.
The original lineup of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson, who rose to super stardom with hits including ‘What I Go To School For’, ‘Crashed The Wedding’, ‘Air Hostess’ and ‘Year 3000’, will take to the stage at the races on July 22.
Going to the races is such a great day out, we’re stoked to be joining the party and we’ll be playing a full set to close out the day, including the hits
The band has amassed five million record sales, two four-time platinum selling albums and four number one singles.
Busted said: “We’re really looking forward to putting on an awesome show at Newmarket this summer!
“Going to the races is such a great day out, we’re stoked to be joining the party and we’ll be playing a full set to close out the day, including the hits.
“Hopefully we’ll make a bob or two on the horses while we’re at it.”
Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, added: “We are very proud to announce yet another fantastic act for 2016 and we look forward to hosting the original Busted trio, especially with the town celebrating 350 years of making history.”
Last year the Newmarket Nights stage was graced by the likes of Kylie Minogue, Spandau Ballet, Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs, watched by more than 100,000 people.
