A HADLEIGH business has been recognised for its customer service for the second year running.
The Hearing Care Centre, which is based at the Hadleigh Health Centre, was presented with the award for outstanding customer service at the 2011 Anglian Business Awards last month.
The company retained the title, which was presented by BBC television and radio presenter John Humphrys at Trinity Park in Ipswich, and was also shortlisted for a community involvement award.
Managing director Karen Finch said: “We all nearly fell off our seats when he called out our name.
“The staff were absolutely thrilled. Last year it was a fantastic achievement and this shows we have continued that work.”
The centre was established in 1998 and offers a wide range of services to the hard of hearing across 14 locations throughout Suffolk.
“There are more than 70,000 hearing-impaired people in this county alone,” said Mrs Finch.
“A lot of people don’t seek help early enough, so we aim to take the patient under our wing and help with everything under the umbrella of hearing, from fitting devices to rehabilitation.”
