Heritage day

LAVENHAM Farmers Market is hosting a heritage day this month as part of Suffolk’s Open Weekend.

The event runs from 10am to 1.30pm on Sunday, July 24, and is being held in conjunction with the Suffolk Threads project, which aims to illustrate the heritage and significance of the county’s wool and cloth trade.

Highlights include demonstrations from a local wood turner and willow weaver, as well as the Lavenham Guild of Spinners & Weavers and over 30 stalls on the market.
