FIFTY vintage cars and bikes will be touring villages around Lavenham on Wednesday.

Printing firm Lavenham Press is staging its sixth annual car tour from 10am at the firm’s Water Lane offices in Lavenham.

The company prints around 60 car and bike club magazines, and club officials come from all over the country to attend the annual event.

This year includes a 458 Italia Ferrari, a racing Spitfire, a Facel Vega, two Bugattis and several Alfa Romeos.

Marketing assistant Sarah Kidby said: “These classics all belong to the customers and friends of Lavenham Press and car clubs come from far and wide to attend.

“It is a wonderful sight to see so many incredible cars touring through the Suffolk countryside.”

Beginning at Lavenham, they go to Thorpe Morieux and travel up to Ickworth House, near Bury St Edmunds, where car drivers pause for refreshment.

They then re-enter Lavenham via Long Melford, and the tour comes to an end at the Swan pub.
