PepsiCo, the parent company of Boxford-based apple juice Copella, has been recognised in the top 50 employers for women for an eighth consecutive year.
The company, which produces well-known brands across the world, has been named in the list of employers leading the way in workplace gender equality, according to a list by The Times and Opportunity Now, a workplace gender campaign group.
Crea Lavin, site leader and engineer at the Copella site in Boxford, said the company promotes an equal playing field in terms of gender equality.
“I’m not unique here,” she said. “In other businesses I’ve worked for, I have been.
“It’s about capacity to do the job here, not gender.”
As a mother, Ms Lavin said PepsiCo had supported her working arrangements.
“PepsiCo realises that people need flexibility in their work,” she said.
“I’m really proud that I’ve taken a highly capable front line manager, who happens to be a woman, and supported her through the business – she is now my operations manager.
“Seeing her grow has been one of the best experiences I’ve had in my working life.”
