Burglar attacks man with knife at Lavenham home

A man suffered a cut to his hand after he was attacked by a burglar with a knife at his home in Lavenham.

The victim found a man in his kitchen when he returned home to the property, in Water Street, yesterday at noon.

The burglar grabbed a knife from a block on the worktop and cut the victim on the hand causing him to suffer a minor injury.

The man ran off through the front door.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen a man running along Water Street just after noon, or anyone acting suspiciously in the area that morning.
