Bures Music Festival’s 20th anniversary
Bures Music Festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, has some top acts booked to perform including Dr Feelgood and a number of tributes such as The Counterfeit Beatles.
As well as the music, the festival which runs from July 6 to July 10, has a packed schedule of additional treats and entertainment for families and festival-goers.
The festival is popular with families with children of all ages. Over the weekend, parents can relax and enjoy the music while children enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, children’s play area and a variety of stalls.
On stage acts include Dr Feelgood, local band New Town Kings and tribute acts such as Bootleg Blondie and The Counterfeit Beatles, as well as an eclectic mix of rock, soul, ska, indie, pop, jazz and choral performances.
The ‘Big Top’ returns, providing all-weather shelter for performers and spectators and this year, a second Big Top will house the main bar.
The pop-up champagne and Pimm’s bar also returns this year courtesy of Sudbury company Stock & Bailey, the catering company also providing food at the festival.
For younger musicians, there is still time to enter the B-Fest competition which takes place on Thursday, July 7, in the Big Top. The closing date for entries is Sunday.
The Bures Music Festival is a not-for- profit event which has raised almost £185,000 for local charities.
