A golf day in Stoke-by-Nayland raised more than £6,000 for a charity helping to train young craftsmen.
Staff from builders Taylor Wimpey got into the swing of things at Stoke-by-Nayland Golf Club, as 24 teams of golfers and their supporters clubbed together to raise more than £6,000 for the St Edmund’s Society at the event held on July 18.
“It was great to see so many people out on the course in aid of a wonderful charity,” said Bryn Maidman, managing director for Taylor Wimpey East Anglia.
“The work the St Edmund’s Society does, to enable students to learn skills such as carpentry and bricklaying, is fantastic.
“Obviously it is a subject very close to our hearts at Taylor Wimpey.
“We are honoured to play a small part in helping the charity to continue its good work.
