An amateur dramatic society is looking for budding directors as it prepares for the 2016 season.
Sudbury Dramatic Society puts on six plays a year at The Quay Theatre, Sudbury.
With the rest of the 2015 season already part of the theatre’s programme right up to the annual pantomime, the group is about to begin the selection process for next year.
Anyone interested in directing a play for the society which, if chosen, will be performed next year on stage at the Quay, is invited to attend an initial play selection meeting at the Quay on Sunday, March 22, at 1pm.
Society member Linda Dowdall said: “Comedy, tragedy, mystery or classical drama, everything is welcome. So if you have got a favourite play you’d like to see performed at the Quay, please bring it along.
“Don’t be put off if you have never directed before, because we promise that, if chosen, a new director will be shadowed by someone more experienced.”
All the plays submitted will be read and discussed by the potential directors, before the society puts together its programme.
