BURES Primary School was positively bubbling over with bobbles as pupils and staff admitted a penchant for the knitted on Friday.
Around £150 was raised for Age UK in Sudbury after the school asked everyone to turn up in bobble hats and jumpers for the charity.
Headteacher Christine Furniss said: “The whole school came in, dressed in anything with a bobble on, and they have all been brilliant.
“We normally support children’s charities or the larger, country-wide ones, but we thought we’d support Age UK as they are local.”
The charity held a national bobble day on February 10, encouraging people to get their woolies out and help support 350,000 elderly people during the cold winter months.
