Brewing up for a charity cuppa
Great Cornard library and pupils from the adjacent Thomas Gainsborough School, which uses the facility, joined forces last week for a coffee morning, as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.
Cakes and refreshments were served, with funds raised being donated.
Charles Robinson, a sixth form student at the school, was one of those who served tea and coffee, with more than £70 being raised for the charity.
Heather Welch, library manager, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event by making and buying cakes.”
