Birthday cards flood in for new Sudbury centenarian
The postman had a busy day on Wednesday when more than 20 cards arrived to celebrate new centenarian Eileen Chaplin’s landmark birthday.
Mrs Chaplin, who has two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, moved to Banham Drive in Sudbury five years ago.
She opened her many cards, including one from the Queen, before celebrating with son Paul and his wife Susan. The Leytonstone-born former PA was a keen athlete who played badminton and hockey.
