AN American-style barbecue will be held this weekend to raise funds for adults with learning difficulties.
Saturday’s event will feature hot dogs and hamburgers straight from US airbases at Lakenheath and Mildenhall, while some classic American cars will also be on display.
The barbecue is being held as part of a year-long fundraising appeal to support the work of Sudbury Resource Centre.
Marion Corner, centre manager, said: “This is the third American barbecue we have held and they are always great fun, with a real authentic feel and atmosphere.
“There is lovely American-style food and loads for the kids to enjoy so it makes for a fantastic family day out.”
Other activities planned during the event, which will be held at the centre on the Chilton Industrial Estate from midday to 4pm, include a disco and face-painting.
Tickets priced at £6 for adults and £4 for children are available from the centre, Lite Bite Cabin in Belle Vue Park and the Helping Hands market stall on Sudbury’s Thursday market.
