The chairman of Babergh District Council has praised the efforts of a children’s charity, after donating funds to help continue its work.

Barry Gasper presented a cheque for £861.20 to The Bumblebee Children’s Charity, which provides a specialist centre for youngsters with movement and co-ordination difficulties.

“The incredible work the charity has done over the past few years made supporting them an easy choice,” said Cllr Gasper. “They’ve provided love and support to many families and children, and I am delighted to be able to present this money to help them continue to do so.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported my fundraising activities, and has helped support such a remarkable charity.”
