Auditions for play

Sudbury Dramatic Society, based at Sudbury’s Quay Theatre, are holding open auditions for their first production of 2016.

Shadowlands by William Nicholson is the poignant, humorous and unsentimental story of the relationship between author C.S. Lewis and the divorced American poet, Joy Gresham.

There are two chances to audition for Shadowlands - on Monday, October 19, at 7.30pm at the Quay Theatre, and also on Friday, October 23, at 7.30pm in the Jetty, in Quay Lane.

Apart from the main roles, there are a number of smaller parts available, from Oxford academics to waiting and hospital staff.

There is also a part for a young boy to play Joy’s son.
