Appeal launched after valuable lectern stolen from church near Sudbury




The theft of a valuable lectern from a church near Sudbury has led to an appeal for witnesses to come forward.

A number of offenders entered All Saints’ Church in Newton Green between March 15 and March 22, and stole a 17th century carved wooden lectern.

The incident has only recently been reported to police.

Anybody with information about the theft, who knows anything about the whereabouts of the lectern, or who has been offered such an item for sale, is asked to come forward.
