Appeal for witnesses after couple robbed at knife-point in Sudbury
A couple were robbed at knife-point in Sudbury, with police issuing an appeal for witnesses to help catch two suspects.
The victims – a man and a woman – were approached by two males while they were placing belongings into their parked car in Quay Lane, at approximately 5pm on Wednesday.
One of the suspects, who was armed with a bladed weapon, then threatened the man and demanded that he hand over his belongings.
The woman was also pushed and her handbag was stolen, before the two suspects fled in the direction of Blackfriars.
The suspects are described as white and they were both dressed in all black clothing.
One of the suspects may have also been wearing a black and white scarf, had dark hair and was taller than the other suspect.
A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said officers would like to hear from anybody who saw the incident, who witnessed two men running away from Quay Lane into Blackfriars, or who saw any suspicious activity in the area between 4.45pm and 7pm.
If you can help police with their investigation, please contact West CID at Bury St Edmunds Police Station by telephoning 101, quoting the crime reference number 37/76177/19.
Alternatively, get in touch with the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555111.
