Appeal after series of burglaries strikes Hadleigh area

A series of burglaries struck the Hadleigh area last week, resulting in a police appeal for information.

The first incident (crime reference CAD 96 of December 13) occurred between 5pm on last Wednesday and 9.30am on Thursday, when cash was stolen from business premises in High Street.

On Friday, different business premises on the same street were targeted at approximately 2.30am, when a glass door panel was smashed and a number of electrical items were subsequently stolen (crime reference 37/72148/18.)

In another incident, which took place some time between November 29 and December 12 (crime reference CAD 177 of December 13), an orange Hitachi ZX27U-2 mini digger was stolen from a site near Bridge Street.

Meanwhile, in nearby Holton St Mary, a number of power tools were stolen, following a break-in at a home in Hadleigh Road between 4.45pm on Thursday and 7.40am on Friday (crime reference CAD 53 of December 14.)
