Appeal after woman verbally abused by man at car park in Hadleigh

A woman was left shaken after being verbally abused by a man as she parked her car in Hadleigh earlier this month.

Suffolk Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place in a car park in Calais Street on Saturday, January 18, at approximately 6.40pm.

After parking in one of the disabled bays, the victim, who was still inside her car, was approached by a man, who started shouting, swearing and banging on the car.

A police spokesman said the victim was shaken but unhurt as a result of the incident.

The man involved has been described as white, aged in his mid-40s, approximately 5ft 10in tall, of heavy build and with a round face. He was wearing glasses at the time of the incident.

Anyone who witnessed what happened, or who saw a man matching the description above around the time and location stated, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting the crime reference number 37/3744/20.
