An appeal for witnesses, who can help locate those responsible for a break-in at a property in Leavenheath at the weekend, has been launched.

The burglary took place at a detached two-floor home in Stoke Road some time between 8am and 3.30pm on Sunday.

During this time period, a number of offenders forced entry into the house via a side door, before carrying out an untidy search of a bedroom and living room.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said it is not thought that anything was taken from the property at this stage.

Officers would now like to hear from anybody who witnessed the break-in, or who saw any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Stoke Road during the times stated.

If you can help, contact DC Matt Egan at Bury St Edmunds CID by calling 101, quoting the crime reference number 37/23885/19 or submit information about the incident at www.suffolk.police.uk/contact-us/existing-report-update.

Alternatively, you can get in touch with the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, by calling 0800 555111.
