Organisers of an inaugural angel festival in St Andrew’s Church in Bulmer hope it will prove as popular as other seasonal events.
The festival has been organised by the church council as a different way of bringing the community together, with a number of angels – all decorated by individuals and groups in the village – displayed in the church.
Committee member Nena Harding said: “I thought it would be quite small but it has really taken off.
“We wanted to engage the community as it’s really lovely to be part of something.
“The main thing is that people come in and smile.”
