And the Monopoly board winning town is...
None of the Suffolk or Norfolk towns being considered for a Monopoly board have won, with almost half the votes going to the Essex town of Colchester.
Though our rebel queen Boudicca put Colchester to the torch when it was a mere Roman garrison town, it has turned the tables on her home counties by taking 48.3 per cent of the votes. Great Yarmouth came next with 20.9 per cent then King’s Lynn at 14.2 per cent.
The highest scoring Suffolk town was Newmarket at 7.4 per cent with Bury St Edmunds coming up on the inside at six per cent.
Sudbury failed to pass go and collected only 3.2 per cent votes in the poll.
Emma Lodwick, custom games development executive at Winning Moves UK, who are making this official version of the board under license from Monopoly owners Hasbro, sent her commiserations to the losing towns.
They are now having a poll to decide which Colchester landmarks should replace the 22 London locations on the traditional board.
