Allotments in Boxford, Hadleigh and Kersey targeted during spree of burglaries




A series of thefts and vandalism incidents that occurred at allotments across south Suffolk over the weekend may potentially be connected, according to police.

Several sheds located in Bridge Street, Hadleigh, were targeted between 6pm on Friday and 9am the next day, resulting in a quantity of petrol being stolen.

Similar thefts of petrol were reported at a number of sheds in Kedges Lane, Kersey, while a shed on an allotment in Homefield, Boxford, was broken into during the same time frame.

A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said officers are currently investigating the incidents, and confirmed that they are looking into the possibility that the thefts may be linked.
