Air ambulance called after woman injured in Sudbury car crash

A woman was treated for minor injuries after a car crash in Springlands Way, Sudbury, yesterday (Sunday).

Police were called after a Volkswagen Polo and a black Mazda collided at around 2.50pm.

A woman in her 60s was trapped in her car and fire crews from Sudbury and Long Melford used cutting equipment to remove the roof and free her.

She was treated for minor injuries by a crew from the East Anglian Air Ambulance, which landed close to the scene, before being taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds in a land ambulance.
