Four tyres, a car battery, assorted bits of metal and 100 bottles formed part of the haul of litter pickers in Acton.
The annual hunt for unsightly trash yielded a bit less litter than last year, which pleased organiser Magaret Maybury, who is also district councillor for the village. There were 12 volunteers in total and the pick took place last Wednesday.
She said: “I’m very grateful to the many willing volunteers who gave up their time to do this. It was very productive and we managed to collect 25 bags of rubbish.A similar litter pick was also held in Little Waldingfield on Saturday.
