A GROUP of schoolmates showed off their best moves – and a fair few more besides – as they danced the day away for charity.
The teenagers gave up their Sunday to take part in an eight-hour danceathon at Great Cornard Upper School.
It was the idea of pupil Rebecca Walker, who wanted to raise money for a wheelchair for her Yorkshire cousin who has undergone two operations on brain tumours.
Conga-ing their way round class, the 13 to 16 year olds also danced to disco, rock and roll and contemporary music.
Dance teacher Amie Butcher said: “It was absolutely fabulous. They all did so well, but then it was for something close to many of their hearts.
“It was really tiring, and there were a few aching limbs the next day.”
The youngsters raised around £980, some of which will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Care.
