A date has been set for the third annual Taste of Sudbury food and drink festival, which celebrates the town’s local producers.
The event, which is due to take place on June 14, has been a success over the last few years, with visitors flocking to watch cooking demonstrations and exhibitions.
Town centre development manager Jane Hatton said there will be additions to this year’s line-up.
“Added attractions this year will include a Guinness world record attempt and a pop-up restaurant,” she said.
“It will be an ideal day out for Father’s Day and, to make it extra special, you can book a table in the pop-up restaurant for lunch.”
The day will feature cookery demonstrations by local chefs, as well as 70 exhibitors showing off their products in St Peter’s and on Market Hill.
The yearly event is organised by the Sudbury town team – a voluntary organisation which aims to promote local business in the town.
Jane said the team had been overwhelmed by the interest generated so far, with many of last year’s exhibitors set to return.
She thanked Bookers Wholesale and Holmes and Hills solicitors, which have both confirmed their sponsorship for this year’s event.
