A tribute to golden age

THE wit and elegance of the golden age of popular song is on the menu at The Quay Theatre in Sudbury tomorrow evening.

Pianist and singer Michael Laws will serve up a generous helping of the musical flavour of the 1920s, 30s and 40s in his solo show Cocktails and Laughter.

Michael is also founder and musical director of the renowned Piccadilly Dance Orchestra – noted for its authentic sound – which has played at numerous high society events, including Earl Spencer’s 30th birthday.

Organisers describe his “warm mellifluous voice and sense of style a perfect match for the songs of the era”.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £12.
