ARTISTS from across the region are being invited to display their work as an Earls Colne art exhibition makes a comeback.

After an absence of four years, the event – organised by the village’s twinning association – is looking for artists and sculptors to take part in this year’s show.

Sue Chivers, from the association, said she hoped the event would create a platform for the talent in the area.

“We hope to showcase a variety of styles, subjects and mediums to create an exhibition which is truly varied and inspiring,” she said.

The Open Art Show 2011 will be held at Earls Colne Village Hall in Queens Road from 10am to 5pm on April 2 and 3, with a special preview evening on April 1 from 7.30pm to 10pm.

Any artists wanting to take part can request an application form, which must be returned by February 28, by contacting Sue Chivers on 01787 223497 or at suechivers@btinternet.com.
