ARTISTIC LICENCE:Cafe becomes backdrop for art exhibition

A newly-opened Sudbury cafe has been filled with 15 seascapes from the Suffolk and Essex coast.

Boxford artist Liz de Alwis is staging a six-week exhibition of her work at Winch’s – the new cafe at department store Winch & Blatch in Sudbury.

Store director Judith Blatch said: “It is a spacious and airy environment which we felt would lend itself to art exhibitions.” This is the first art exhibition to be held there.
